	A Western Kansas family owned and operated farm producing a premium corn chip for that consumer which still believes in quality and perfection. Here at Southwest Tortillas (Pedro's Tortilla Chips) we take pride in manufacturing that premium corn chip. From tillage of the soil, planting of the seed, and harvesting of the grain, this is without a doubt the freshest, most natural flavored authentic corn chip on the market.
Our farm has produced yellow corn for over thirty years, and for the past five years we have produced a food grade white corn as well. In 1999, we realized that the traditional method of harvesting, transporting, and selling the corn to the local market was no longer a viable option for a family farm. So the search began to find an alternative market for our high quality corn.
	We began to focus our attention on producing a value added product. Our research found that corn chips were starting to dominate the snack food industry. Our goal was to produce a premium corn chip.
On February 5, 2001, the first farm owned, farm produced, and farm manufactured corn tortilla came off the production line.
